Concept of number systems: binary additions, multiplications, divisions; elementary function evaluations; algorithm acceleration; floating-point and significant arithmetics; IEEE standards; technology related issues; algorithm evaluation by implementation with gate arrays. Prerequisite(s): course 202. Enrollment restricted to graduate students.
