CMPE252B: Principles of Computer Communication

The focus of this course is the design and analysis of protocols for computer communication. The main topics addressed are the saftey, lliveness and performance of communication protocols for medium access control (MAC), link control, routing and switching, multicasting, and end-to-end transport.  Knowledge of probability and statistics is assumed. Undergraduates may enroll if they have completed course 107 and 150/L and with consent of instructor.  Prerequisite(s): CMPE 252A.
