CMPE258: Unix Networking Internals

In-depth treatment of the implementation of network protocols in typical open-source Unix systems. Topics include implementation of send and receive functions, buffer management, interrupt handling, locking, scheduling and timer management. Major implementation project required. Prerequisite(s): course 252A. Computer Science 111 recommended. Enrollment restricted to graduate students.
