CMPS290M: Information Extraction

Information Extraction is the problem of distilling structured information from unstructured text. The first part of the course will provide an overview of IE techniques developed in the past 20 years and discuss their advantages and limitations. The second part of the course will focus on an emerging new paradigm of Declarative Information Extraction, as a powerful approach to building high-performance Information Extraction systems.
