EE145: Properties of Materials

Home

The fundamental electrical, optical, and magnetic properties of materials, with emphasis on metals and semiconductors: chemical bonds, crystal structures, elementary quantum mechanics, energy bands. Electrical and thermal conduction. Optical and magnetic properties. Prerequisite(s): Physics 5A/L, 5B/M, and 5C/N or 6A/L, 6B/M, and 6C/N. Students must also concurrently enroll in course 145L. H.
