EE172: Advanced Analog Circuits

Analog circuit design covering the basic amplifier configurations, current mirrors, differential amplifiers, frequency response, feedback amplifiers, noise, bandgap references, one- and two-stage operational amplifier design, feedback amplifier stability, switched capacitor circuits and optionally the fundamentals of digital-to-analog and analog-to-digital converters. Emphasis throughout will be on the development of approximate and intuitive methods for understanding and designing circuits. Cannot receive credit for this course and course 221.Prerequisite(s): course 171.
