AMS132, Winter 2015, Section 01: Exams

The course evaluation involves three exams, two exams during the quarter (Thursday January 29, and Thursday February 26) and the final exam  (Wednesday March 18, 8-11am). All three exams will be closed-book, closed-notes, but you may bring one (letter size) piece of paper with formulas on both sides. The final exam will be comprehensive.

 

Exam 1   (Thursday January 29)

Material: DeGroot & Schervish, Sections 7.1, 7.5, and 7.6 (excluding the material on the "EM Algorithm"), and notes from the lectures.

Copy of exam 1 and solutions

Percentiles of the (n=30) exam 1 scores: 25th percentile = 53; median = 67; 75th percentile = 81

 

Exam 2   (Thursday February 26)

Material: DeGroot & Schervish, Sections 7.1, 7.2, 7.3, 7.5, 7.6 (excluding the material on the "EM Algorithm"), 8.1, 8.5, and 8.8 (pages 514-518 and 523-527), and notes from the lectures.

Percentiles of the (n=30) exam 2 scores: 25th percentile = 59; median = 71; 75th percentile = 82

 

Final Exam (Wednesday March 18, 8-11am)
