AMS213B: Numerical Methods for the Solution of Differential equations

*****COURSES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE*****

This graduate level course provides an introduction to the numerical solutions of ordinary and partial differential equations (ODEs and PDEs). The course focuses on the derivation of discrete solution methods for a wide variety of differential equations, and their stability and convergence. The course also provides hands-on experience in implementing such numerical algorithms for the solution of engineering and scientific problems using the widely available MATLAB software. Class will be taught by classroom lectures and hands-on programming sections.
