The main course objective is to provide the basic ideas of probability and statistics and the concepts behind formulae and calculations. This will be pursued through different applications of every day life, social sciences, earth sciences and medical sciences. A more detailed content is given in the tentative course schedule. A key feature of the course is to continually monitor the level of understanding of the class. Homework and Quizzes will be key for this purpose.
