CMPE252B: Principles of Computer Communication

Theory and practice of computer communication networks. Emphasis is on verification and performance analysis of network control processes. Topics include protocols for channel access, point-to-point and multipoint reliable transmission, routing, congestion control, network management, multicasting, and ATM networks. (Formerly Modeling of Communications Protocols.) Prerequisite(s): courses 107 and 252A.
