CMPM80H: Human Centered AI

As AI technologies start to integrate and permeate our everyday lives, we become aware of how they impact our lives and the biases inherent in these systems. This class will introduce Human Centered AI - investigating humanistic values and issues of a variety of current AI systems, from ones that integrate in your car to ones that integrate on your phone to ones (e.g., Siri) that you see in the street (e.g., delivery robots) or at different vendors. It introduces various societal, economic, and humanistic issues such as bias, trust, accountability, and delves into design methods that can be used to design more human centered AI systems.
