Covers fundamentals of systems programming including standard tools, shell programming, file I/O, files and directories, system data files and information, Unix processes, process control, synchronization, signals, event-driven programming, terminal I/O, daemons, interprocess communication, basic network programming, and basic user-interface programming. Prerequisite(s): course 101 and Computer Engineering 12 and 12L. Enrollment restricted to School of Engineering majors.
