Introduces radar signal processing, synthetic aperture radar (SAR), and inverse SAR (ISAR). Focuses on the fundamentals and design principles of modern radar systems. Students use hands-on computer simulations to build a strong background in radar sensor systems that can be applied to a variety of problems, such as medical imaging, ground-penetrating radar imaging for geophysical exploration, and the use of radar sensor systems for satellite-based SAR. Prerequisite(s): course 153. Enrollment is restricted to juniors, seniors, and graduate students.
