NLP244: Advanced Machine Learning for Natural Language Processing

Covers advanced deep machine learning models and algorithms for Natural Language Processing, such as transformers, pre-trained large language models, contextual embeddings, multi-modal embeddings, mullti-task learning, and reinforcement learning. Provides both theoretical and intuitive understanding of NLP learning models. Prerequisite(s): NLP 243. Enrollment is restricted to natural language processing graduate students and computer science and engineering doctoral students, or by permission of instructor.
